National Geographic reports that the tomb said to belong to Jesus Christ was opened in October 2016, the first time in centuries.

Built in the fourth century, the tomb of Christ, or the Holy Edicule, has just undergone a historic restoration—a project that captured the attention of the world and will be featured this fall in National Geographic magazine and on the National Geographic channel. It is located in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem’s Old City. The Tomb of Christ exhibit, which is located at the National Geographic Museum in Washington, DC, opened on November 15, 2017, and is set to close on August 15, 2018. A modest admission price of $15 also admits the visitor to the exhibit Wild by National Geographic photographer Michael Nichols.
