Wave Race originally launched on Game Boy way back in 1992, however it received critical acclaim when it was released on Nintendo 64 shortly after the console’s launch in 1996. Multi allows for up to four friends to race against each other. The Wave Race series has been dormant for a very long time.

With a new Metroid Prime already confirmed for the Switch, fans have been thrilled to see Nintendo re-visiting some of their classic Gamecube franchises on Switch.Now, it looks like the big N might be resurrecting another forgotten Gamecube gem for Switch– Wave Race.

Wave Race is a 1992 personal watercraft racing video game developed by Nintendo EAD and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Game Boy.It is the first game in the Wave Race series. Wave Race is a video game that was released for the Game Boy in 1992. Wave Race hasn’t been revisited by Nintendo for quite some time. Take to the waves on your own personal watercraft! Don't race alone - challenge a friend! There aren't many games that take on jet ski's in the racing genre which helps Wave Race stand out from the crowd.

I'm more of an F-Zero guy but I definitely wouldn't turn a Switch version of Wave Race down.

Soapbox: Switch Really Needs Games Like Excitebike 64, Wave Race, 1080° Snowboarding And, Yes, F-Zero Which racing series would you most like to ride again? The result was a technically very impressive looking racer with an emphasis on arcade-style gameplay. Whilst Wave Race does not quite reach the upper echelons of all time classic, it was still innovative and deserves it's only space in the history books. Take control in Wave Race 64 is sure to provide some of the most exciting racing you've ever experienced.

There is a Wave Race like game available on the Switch I unfortunately can't remember the name of it, and iirc it hasn't come out in the US yet only EU. Choose one of four characters, each with his or her own unique abilities and style, and master the game's excellent controls.
