Regardless this is a great sounding album, full of little nuances that previous reissues either miss entirely or lose in the mix.Highly recommended, now for some more Doors. Fullfilled by Warner Music Group. I was a little concerned about this reissue as I had heard that the original master tapes were nigh on unusable and that a digital transfer was the source. The MON-1 side two mastering is also notable for a defect at the beginning of the side -- a fluttering drop-out in one channel during the guitar intro to "People Are Strange".
"When the Music's Over" attempts the grandness that was "The End" with less success but much more compelling music. For early, but not first, gold label Monarch issues that have "(MON-2)" or higher in the runout of side two, please refer to The Doors - Strange Days
