The Same Place is the tentative title of the Olivia Tremor Control’s upcoming third and now final album. Work began on The Same Place in the early 2010s, when the single “The Game The Same Place, the third and final album from indie noise-pop band The Olivia Tremor Control, is due to be finished later this year for release in 2014. Frankly, if an artist is featured on the Elephant 6 Wikipedia page then their entire discography is available to be covered, allowing for covers of more obscure artists like Thimble Circus as well as indie gods like Neutral Milk Hotel. Number One Cup is another forgotten gem (moreso than Olivia Tremor Control who do still have a pretty solid fan base and are recognized at least by name in most indie circles...but Number One Cup is quite obscure). I bought a couple of CDs from every band on the bill (I was unfamiliar with all but Olivia Tremor Control before the show), because I was so blown away. I believe we should hold the same, and here's how we're doing it. Elephant 6 is a collective of different bands, and I think we should highlight this.
